Description
I've spent so much time in Boston's Back Bay. I've worked there, lived there, travelled through it's streets more times than I can count, and I know it to be a neighborhood alive with activity! Turn down any street at any point in the day and you will find cars, pedestrians, cyclists rushing to get somewhere. To the office, to the store, to class.... But during the summer, if you're lucky, you stumble upon a spot like this, where people are more likely to stop, sit down, and soak in a little tranquility. This fountain, right next to the Prudential, is one where busy office workers bring their lunch, sit, and soak in the sun, and young parents watch their children play in the fountain. It is a small sliver of what it's like on a slow hot day outside the city, with the city bustling all around. To me, this feels like that moment in a movie when the hero/heroine stops hearing all the busy noise around them, those ambiet noises quiet down to a slow-motion nothing, and all they see is the perfect little moment happening right in front of their eyes.
